5 Affiliate Marketing Strategies that Helped Me Generate Over $1 Million

They say that you can potentially earn thousands of dollars through affiliate marketing and I can actually attest to this. Not to brag but I was able to earn more than $1 million last year.
Now, you might ask me how I did it and I will share with you the strategies that have worked for me. Here are some of the things that I did that helped me generate over a million dollars’ worth of income:

Always Focus on One Website at a Time

A lot of people seem to think that you have to go with the ‘shotgun approach’ wherein you create as many websites as you can so that you can promote a lot of different products, but they seem to get this out of context.

You see, there is nothing wrong by doing that approach. In fact, that’s what I did that helped me generate a lot of passive income. However, you have to understand that my websites are already quite established in their respective niches.

The only way for me to succeed in this regard is to focus on one website at a time to the point that it can stand on its own.

Once that I’ve created a successful platform (with the metric data to show for), then I can safely consider venturing into new niches.

Create Content So Good that Your Competition Will Not Have Anything to Combat It

As the middleman between the company and the consumer, it is your job to make sure that the latter will be enticed to buy whatever it is that the former is offering.

That being said, you can do that by creating content that is so good that your competition will have nothing to show for or come up with anything that can compete with it.

Now, how do you create valuable content? It is actually very simple: Make something that is irresistible that only you can provide.

For instance, if you are promoting security software products like antivirus programs, create an article about cybersecurity and cite the reasons why using such programs can help you thwart cyberattacks and so on. That way, you not only promote the product but you also make a compelling argument that people should buy the said product.

Think About Recurring Revenues

The problem with most affiliate marketers is that they think about selling one product and not think about getting new ones. Sure, one-time payouts are okay if that is what you want, but if you want to get rich, you may have to think about recurring revenues.

I highly recommend that you start being an Amazon affiliate simply because its tracking cookies expire every 24 hours. This will force you to think long-term by making sure that you update all of your stuff so that you can keep on earning every single day.

Don’t Put Your Eggs in One Basket

That saying applies to affiliate marketing to a great extent. Instead of relying solely on your blog or website, it is important that you also invest in other avenues as well.

Social media has become quite a huge thing in this day and age, so you may also think about developing your presence on the medium too.

Make Your Website ‘Mobile-Friendly’

There is no denying that mobile users have outnumbered desktop users in this day and age. That is why it should come as no surprise that your website should also be mobile-friendly as well.

In 2015, Amazon has reported that 46% of affiliate clicks come from mobile users. Just think about that.
