Helpful Ways for You to Combat Fatigue
Has it come to a point that the only way for you to get more energetic are to rely too
much on caffeine or the best supplements for men? I am not saying that they are bad,
but generally speaking, they are only meant to be taken as ‘supplements’, which means
that there is a way for your body to function as it should without using them as crutches.
So, how does your body get its energy? When you eat food, it is broken down by our
digestive systems. There are some that are absorbed by our stomach and the others
are absorbed by the small intestine.
When your body breaks down carbohydrates, for example, the resulting product would
be glucose which is the main fuel that our body uses for energy.
It is also important for you to remember that some hormones can control the entire
process. For instance, the Pancreas can release the hormone insulin that may help
control the blood sugar levels in our body.
What is Fatigue?
Also known as general tiredness, fatigue is actually caused by a number of different
factors, including (but not limited to) physical causes like stress and lack of sleep,
physiological causes like obesity or being overweight, and psychological causes like
anxiety or depression (though physical causes seem to be the main culprit for people
who report such cases).
Lack of sleep and stress are the two main factors that lead to general tiredness.
Therefore, one way to somehow alleviate the problem is to get adequate amounts of
sleep. Ideally, you’d want to get anywhere between 7-9 hours of quality sleep. Quality
sleep is sleep where you are not disturbed and you get to experience the full spectrum
of sleep (REM sleep, Level 1- 4).
How to Combat Fatigue?
The good thing about fighting fatigue is you do not need to do anything drastic at all.
Making simple changes can have a profound impact on your energy levels. In this
section, I will go over some of the ways you can combat fatigue.
1. Limit your caffeine intake. I understand that you might like drinking coffee every
day as it helps you get moving, but try limiting your intake to see if it helps you
2. Drinking plenty of water is also a must. Dehydration (as a result of a lack of
water) can lead to fatigue. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water or roughly 2 liters.
3. Don’t skip breakfast. There is a reason why it is considered the most important
meal of the day.
4. Don’t follow crash diets. If you want to lose weight, get adequate amounts of
physical activity, as well as following a well-balanced diet.
5. Learn to relax by engaging in yoga and meditation.
6. Limit bad behaviors. If you smoke and drink a lot, both of them are linked to
increased fatigue. Limit or outright eliminate bad behaviors.
7. Get a move on. By engaging in physical activities, you’ll not only improve your
heart’s efficiency at pumping blood, but you will also lose weight as well.
8. If all of the things I’ve mentioned do not work, it is time to go visit your doctor.
